A new home in the old village the Sugar Bowl Residence designed by John Maniscalco Architecture situated in Norden, California. The residence has two levels and almost all use of wood, such as ceiling  and the floor even to the furniture in the house. On the first floor of the entrance, boot room, children and guest rooms and service spaces. On the upper floor there is a variaty of living areas and master bedroom. Throughout the entire house, owners can enjoy breathtaking mountain views. John Maniscalco Architecture  had to take into account the dangerous snow packs, however they managed to create a unique house. The flat roof has a slope that allows snow to slide to the rear of the structure. Perched on a concrete plinth that rises above the high winter snow pack, the house allows the snow to go around and meet the entry level. The Sugar Bowl Residence modern spatial expression with the warm, rustic feel of a mountain home.
